Interior Architecture
ReardonSmith Architects do not practice as interior designers. For many years and on many projects we have enjoyed working collaboratively with many talented and creative designers all over the world. However, we have found that certain interior designers either do not wish to or are not capable of producing the essential detailed technical drawings and documentation required to convert their concepts into construction reality. ReardonSmith can fill this gap and have done so for many years.
In simple terms, once a developed interior design concept has received the client’s approval and conforms to the cost plan allocated for the work, we further develop the concept into full and detailed construction information suitable for all building trades to implement on site. Throughout this process we maintain regular contact with the interior designer to ensure that the integrity of their concept is maintained at all times. We also ensure that our work is compliant with all local and national building codes and regulations. Whilst the project is under construction regular site inspections, together with the interior designer, are carried out such that all parties are confident that the interior implementation is proceeding correctly. At the conclusion of site works, snagging and remedial work inspections with the interior designer are undertaken to identify and correct any defects in the completed work. A full description of this service can be provided if desired.
Our interior architecture service does not include any involvement in or responsibility for FF&E or OS&E.
