ReardonSmith was appointed to undertake a detailed masterplan study for a new hotel and villa resort on a hitherto untouched peninsula site opposite the Turkish resort town of Bodrum. The client came to us aware of our reputation for sensitive resort design that places the highest value on respecting the topography, flora and fauna of the location as well as the architectural and cultural heritage of the local region. The brief was for the design of a supremely luxurious destination catering to heads of state and high profile guests who require seclusion and security as well as every comfort.

The plan proposed 26 private residences, each with extensive private gardens, magnificent sea views and its own jetty. The hotel was located at the highest point of the site. The style of all the properties reflects a Mediterranean vernacular layered with references to Turkish building design.
