A famous 20th Century building on the bustling Kostava Street in Georgia’s capital city, Tbilisi, is to be transformed into a new landmark Hilton hotel. ReardonSmith’s concept preserves the Soviet-era neo-classical architecture, enhancing it where appropriate with consideration and sensitivity. With a marriage between historic and contemporary design, the renovation will reference the building’s past as the home of the Georgian Tea Trust.
