ReardonSmith Wins Adaptive Re-Use Award At The European Hotel Design Awards

ReardonSmith’s architectural design of The Beaumont has been recognised by the European Hotel Design Awards at a ceremony in London attended by some 900 guests. In presenting the award for Adaptive Re-Use, the judges praised “the seamless integration of the old and the new to create timeless appeal” and spoke of the addition of the Antony Gormley sculpture to the front façade as a “stroke of genius that has given this corner of London a new landmark.” The Beaumont, developed by Grosvenor and operated by Corbin & King, opened in September 2014 after a five-year project to convert a Grade II listed garage into a bespoke luxury hotel.
