JAMES TWOMEY

Company Director

James is a Board Director with over 30 years’ experience of architectural practice, much of it focused on luxury hotel design. He joined ReardonSmith in 1996 and quickly assumed responsibility for handling sensitive hotel restorations and extensions in London and abroad. When we were awarded the Savoy project, he helped lead much of the initial work, achieving planning and listed building consents for the design schemes.

He then went on to direct the architectural team in the rebuilding of the Four Seasons Park Lane, this was the first time that the 1972 building had been entirely stripped back to its structure to facilitate a major upgrading of services, internal re-planning and new extensions. Subsequently, James led the team handling interior design implementation at the Four Seasons hotel in St Petersburg, a former Imperial Palace before returning to London to lead our team on The Beaumont in Mayfair, Adare Manor Golf Resort Hotel in Ireland, and the proposed Wanda Vista Hotel in Nine Elms London.

James is currently leading the team responsible for the latest refurbishment and extension of The Beaumont Hotel and overseeing the creation of the new Chancery Rosewood Hotel in Grosvenor Square.
